Anyone on here have a voltage regulator for an 08 Uly that they're willing to sell? There is a three week backorder through American Sportbike. The Uly is my transportation and 3 weeks down is going to suck. |

Call the closest Harley dealer that works on Buells. The list is here: http://www.buell.com/en_US/home.html If they don't have it, ask them to 'please' run a national check for a dealer who has one. Al is great but he doesn't have the capability to check dealer inventory. Good luck. |

Al actually gave me a dealer inventory list, but also explained that most probably won't actually have it. Found one dealer in FL that does, so hopefully they'll be able to ship it out. |

Another option if you can't get an OEM VR. I'd have to read the website again, but I believe this regulator also works on single phase systems... http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/712127.html?1368807748 |

Many here, including myself, went with this when our VR failed. Mine's an 09, same VR as your 08 http://roadstercycle.com/Shindengen%20FH012AA%20Re gulator%20upgrade%20kit.htm |

Buellster Parts still had one when I needed it not that long ago, if you want OEM. |

Thanks for all the suggestions. I looked into the aftermarket options but pulled the trigger on an OEM from an H-D dealer in Florida. I called about 5 other dealerships that explained that they had just shipped their last models to Minnesota. Must have an army of busted Ulys up there. |

Glad you found one, but while we're on the subject, isn't a Sportster V/R the same, except for the length of the attached wiring? IIRC, it's possible to modify the Sportster version to use on a Uly fairly easily. Hopefully someone can confirm or deny this. It'd be good to know for future reference. |

Take Ratbuell's and Whisperstealth's advice and invest in a Shindengen so you'll have it ready to go when your new stocker fails again. Just my $.02. http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/667134.html?1326751428 |

^ The thread you liked shows the V/R installation on an 06/07 bike. Will this work on the 08-10 with the single phase stator? |

I used the same one on my 08 that Ratbuell put on his 06. You just hook up one less wire on the 08. It is working better than the stock one, in that the voltage does not fluctuate as much, and it doesn't burn out my headlights. |

What do you guys recommend as far as voltage monitors? I've seen some pictures of some mounted on the dash. Are there any that come with mounting hardware? |

I have one I purchased for my 07. Did't need it (connector). I am not sure it would work on you 08 but if it does I will be happy to sell it to you. |
