Pics will follow later today..maybe. Kinda busy today. Anyways heres a few quick notes about the show. The new for 2005 Mustang is smokin hot. The new shelby cobra is blah...too slab sided. The Ford GT is oh my god gorgeous The 2005 is way better looking in person Aston Martins Vanquish..the 007 car is drop dead gorgeous. Its my pick for hottest car at the show. The SSR chevy convertible pickup is ok, but nothing all that great..overpriced for what you get. The Saleen is a fantastic dream machine. Never heard of a Maybach before. The Studebaker Avanti is still ugly & the Hummer wannabe they showed is hideous. My wife is a certifiable BMW nut. The Chrysler crossfire is cool looking, but has huge blind spots & I have to bend my head down to see out the side window. Very claustrophopic feeling. Toyota had a sweet looking big assed concept pickup on display that I would buy. The Lincoln pickup is weird looking. Oddest looking car would have to go to the Lotus Elise Pontiacs new GTO while having a kickass drivetrain..5.7 ltr 350 ci with rear wheel drive & available 6 speed manual tranny..is rather boring in appearance. Hummers new pickup should go back to the drawing board. For some odd reason I like the small goofy cars like the Focus, the Vibe, Matrix & the Mini Cooper. The amg mercedes is sweeeeet The coolest concept car was at Mitsubishi And Dodge had the best looking show girls. |

The '05 Mustang has found enough retro and enough new tech to win me back. I've owned two Mustangs before, an 84 5.0 ltr GT and a '98 4.6 ltr GT convertible. (I shouldn't have got rid of that car!) Too bad GM can't find a Camaro/Firebird replacement to compete with Ford again. The GTO just doesn't do anything for me. It looks like a Cadillac Catera from a couple years back. Boring IMHO. |

Blah, I'll agree that the '05 Mustang is an improvement in the looks department, but there hasn't been a good looking Mustang sinice the originals. I was fortunuate enough to do prototypes of that hunk of shit. Did I say that out loud? As for the Camaro...the 40th anniversary is creeping up quick. Do you REALLY think they'll let Ford have all the late-20's girl market with the 'stang? edited by darthane on February 16, 2004 |

As an avid lover of the camaro (and an owner of a 400hp 1978 RS) I don't think you will see a camaro for many years. As much as a muscle car fanatic that I am I truely wish Chevrolet would concentrait on making a really good electric or hybrid car that can perform well in real world conditions. That is where the future is and it would be a shame for a great American company like Chevy to get passed up because they spent to much time revelling in their own past accomplishments. |

That new mustang is awesome. I have been hanging out on Brads mustang site for a while now, and they have all the info on the new car. It is a better design than the current car and should sell like hotcakes. And judging from the GTO design,IMHO GM will probably screw up the camaro anyway. |

Maybach! Thats the company that supplied diesel engines for some German tanks and half-tracks during WW2. The Panther and Tiger tanks had 500-600hp versions of those motors. (I just helped a fellow find a fuel pump for his half-track) They make cars now? Would like to see some pics of the Aston Martins. Can't wait to see the pics! |

God bless the wife unit and all that sort of thing, but I think the new BMW's are really ugly. There seems to be lots of good looking cars out there lately but BMW isn't one of them. |
