I have seen several modifications, such as airbox inner cover removal, The D&D exhaust pipe, LED pods to replace the mirrors, removal of headlights etc. Does anyone have a list of stuff to do to increase performance. |

Race ecm and one of these to replace the d&d pipe. If you really do plan on going fast, put the inner airbox cover back on as well, it does make a difference in power from the ram air effect above 100 mph.

Yeah, removing the inner airbox had me scratching my head. Either that or I need different shampoo. One of the two. |

Well, none of the things you listed increase performance. If 146 crank horsepower is not enough for you, then one of Dean Adam's mufflers or full exhaust systems, and a race ECM are the way to go. That is pretty much it in terms of the motor without going crazy with things like cams or bigger bore. Other things you can do is make the bike lighter by replacing the battery with a lithium, carbon bodywork, lights removal, magnesium wheels, and so on. Then there is also the suspension, if you are tracking it you will find race springs to help dial you in better, or a complete fork swap. |

My race bike parts list: (off the top of my head) - EBR full exhaust - Race ECM - Shorai battery - Full bodywork (remove lights, etc) - Chain drive - Showa cartridges - Ohlins shock ...and that's pretty much it. Don't do anything on your list other than the removal of the lights. The D&D is a pretty poor choice, other than fairly poor performance, I believe it's been known to touch down when cornering hard. |

i was thinking on extending the itake through the forks into a sharkmouth ducting to further increase ram intake pressure at speed |

Preeze shpeak Engrish! Your last post was a PITA to read. You want a pipe with a matching tune. Best bang for the buck is a Keda RT-3 with an EBR ECM to match. Then weight reduction. Froggy is right about the suspension needing to be upgraded or going to big piston forks if you want to be pushing around the track. Oh yeah, even upgrading the MC for brakes will help you enter your corners so you're not grabbing handfuls of lever. Don't even think about going chain drive either unless you want to get serious. |
