I would first rule out the throttle position sensor setting by doing a reset and then check the engine temp sensor by watching the temperature values on the ECMSpy. At cold start up the engine temp and inlet air temp readings need to track closely. |

+1 on Kalali's words. Remember that a TPS reset starts with backing out the idle screw. If it happened cold I wold guess a rivet has worked out of the throttle plate and was obstructing its full closure. If that plate is allowed to close fully the engine can not sustain 2000 rpm on the amount of air that gets past unless there is another source of air. Check intake seals. |

i had chance to look in the air filter it the one shaped like the sportie ovel one i found the the "iat" sensor loose i think thats what it is called? or is it some thing todo with o2 sensor. i have since made this sensor firm and tight to the backing plate of the air filter but have not been for a ride yet as for the tps it been booked in for other work but have not had chance to get to the shop yet for them to look at it and do a scan of the bike and set the tps for me so thats next stop |
