I bought this Buell last year and rode it occasionally throughout the summer. It is an absolute hoot to ride. Gobs of torque and handles like a scalpel. I tore it down because it was leaking oil pretty heavily from the rear rocker box and a pinhole in the oil tank. Well, we all know how those things go. A quick repair turned into a project of restoring this bike to it's glory. All aluminum has been polished, the fasteners in the upper head and steering area are all replaced with stainless (and some other areas) and of course the oil leaks are all fixed with the updated gaskets. Total mileage on the bike is unknown, I have the mileage from the speedo unit wrote down in some of the documentation I got with the bike, but can't seem to find it. I was told it has around 2500 miles on it from the build to when I bought it, and I ran 3 tanks of fuel through it last summer so lets say around 3000. When the rocker boxes were off the inside of the motor was absolutely sanitary. Perfectly clean, so I have no reason to doubt it. Story goes that it was built by a Buell engineer in Erik's shop. Motor is allegedly an oil viscosity test motor (no s/n) and there are bits here and there marked "race use only". It is built with the best bits around at the time. The bike doesn't need an owner, it needs a caretaker; someone to give it the attention it deserves to maintain it's one-of-a-kind stature. I have too many toys and decided this must be one to go. It won't break my heart to keep it.. I love this bike.. but it deserves more. Asking $6500 obo. Now there is a piece of rolling artwork! Wow!!! What a find!!! With all that work, I'm surprised to see it still has the tubing and brackets for rear passenger pegs. That is a beautiful machine! |

To the top.. Price is best offer, more likely to deal right now than if I sit on it and ride it some more. Make an offer, ride it up to the homecoming It's that simple :-) (Message edited by bob-n on April 25, 2013) |

The bike DOES have a s/n and matching title (chassis) in my name. Street legal. The engine does not have a number. |
