Do you find such product/marketing posts offensive? Do they intrude upon your recreational enjoyment of this forum? Answer: NO Should I confine all such questions to the sponsor area? Answer: Of course. You can find us and we can find you. I'd not hesitate to place a copy of the first post in the quick board or General board. Just keep the discussion in the sponsor area. Will they be seen, and be helpful there? Answer: Absolutely . . . the Sponsor area is YOUR area to be used, subject to decorum, as you see most benefits your interests.

Bart, you might want to check under the paint on your rear fender if its a 1996,seems to me they just painted the CF on some of them.If not I may have one. |

Al, Congrats! If it were up to me, I'd say jump right in to any discussion that you can help with, or have an idea on, or have a product that will solve a problem that someone is having. I for one have no problem with any of the sponsors here. They've been more than helpful. Also might I suggest a BadWeB 10% discount |

The rear fenders on the 1996 S-1's were Carbon Fiber that was painted with whatever we called that crap we shot the inside of fairing with...basically a flat black finish. There is a difference between CF made to just be light and CF made to look cosmetically good. We meant to do both, did one and hence the paint. Court |

Al, as far as i'm concerned you've got free rain here (yeah, i know, it's "rein", i was just trying to keep with the BadWeatherBikers theme...) to say whatever you want. you're an enthusiastic Buell owner, just like the rest of us, and the enthusiastic new owner of a well-respected Buell-related business that not only offers cool stuff for your fellow Hooligans, your sponsorship also helps Blake defray the costs of keeping this place alive. as i see it, any way you slice it it's GREAT to have you here. |

firemanJim, The bike is a '95, and the fender was added by the previous owner. I just like the look of a plain black fender back there. |

Just like driving past an accident scene, there are certain things that you can't help but look at no matter how very wrong they are: http://www.fordfestiva.com/members/Mook/mook.htm |

Al. I think its great that you would like to conduct surveys of what people need and what they'd buy. Maybe there should be a new header for new parts offerings or some such title. Bart. On Funjimmy's S1, he had the CF sprayed with a semi-transparent black so that its darkened almost black but the CF grain can still be seen. I can send you a high res pic ,I think. Jim. I remember from SPLASH that MY bike has the greenie stuff, right? |

Al, Dude, don't even ask. But it would best serve the board if you would post unsolicited bidness related stuff/announcements/opinion polls in your own American Sport Bike sponsor topic/subtopic. |

Cool, thanks all. I'll use my sponsor area, and only perhaps park a pointer to there from the applicable area if it feels appropriate (i.e., put the survey question like the air cleaner question in the American Sport Bike sponsor area, then perhaps a pointer to there from the intakes section). There are so many cool things that need to be done for the tubers and the XBs, and it just tickles me pink to know that it is now my JOB to do them. Thanks, Al |

For the Dirt Bike and ATV Fans... The following is a link to a product that I have used to remove garf marks from the plastic body work on my KLR650 with excellent results. So whether you or the previous owner inflicted the battle scars on your bike this stuff will help make your bike look like new. http://www.compacc.com/moreinfo.cfm?Product_ID=5160 |

I attended the Dealer Show in Indy yesterday. I talked to Brian Nallin at the Revolution Performance (new name for Millenium Tech) booth, and then I see on Superbike.com that Millenium Tech is sponsering Shawn Higbee on a Suzuki superbike. ..also talked to Mike "Woz" at the Storz booth, and i got to chat with Eric Bostrum for a few min... both Eric and Ben Bostrum were very nice and approachable, real down to earth people. |

Al . . . .. . American Sport Bike should definately ask . . .how else you gonna know? as for tuber parts that may need sourcing, every S3 owner I know is bemoaning the lack of saddlebag lids available . .. . . . seems to me that might be a good, steady source of revenue that would put a smile on yer customer's faces!

Hey Ferris, I think I may have softened the preload a little TOO much, eh? upon returning from a rather brisk ride through some mountain passes yesterday, I noticed this when I got home. I seem to remember bottoming out once or twice. LOL I guess I'll readjust the shock again, but damn it was handling so well! Your friendly neighborhood Buell Whore |

I just learned that Erik broke his pelvis(ouch) in a snowmobile accident recently. It seems he's as crazy on a sled as he is a bike!! Does anybody know if there is a way we can send him a "hope you feel better soon" card or something like that? |

Dan, there's more to the story. Probably a card sent to him at the factory East Troy address would get through. |

I can confirm that Dan. From what I was told it was a pretty good jump!! I'm sure somebody around here can tell us where a friendly card can be sent.

I have a request for all of you S2 owners, I am doing some research on the different models, I own a '91 RS1200 and a S1. What I would like to know is the measured length of the front forks from the top of the fork to the centerline of the front axel. PLEASE email me the year of your S2 and this dimension. Also any of you RS owners with the upside-down forks can chime in too. thanks for your help greg |
