Just wondered where the horn is supposed to live on a 99X1 Lightning?? |

left side near top of frame near engine v should be a bracket to attach the mounting springs. |

BTW, if you're doing away with the side panel scoopy thing, rain does get into that horn. It doesn't kill the horn but you have to remove it from the bike and "unscrew" out the water. The work around for this is to install a blast horn that is the pancake style and has no spiral to trap water. |

Or just rotate the horn around on it's bracket so it points down not up |

It still fills up with water. Lots of swirling water splashing up from the road, and down from above. I went with the Blast! horn, and I mounted it under the seat. Plenty loud. |
