Hi I recently picked up a 2010 blast and there's a small hole in the exhaust and I want to replace it with a Hard dine or Vance & Hines pipe kit..problem is, almost everywhere I go, 2010 is never listed under specs..I guess because of how few 2010 were actually produced and sold. So can anyone point me in the right direction? I want to be sure I get a good price and a pipe that'll definitely fit my bike. Thanks!

So the V&H 16535 kit will fit mine? Just want to be sure, and thanks!

You might also check out the D&D exhaust from Texas. It is a very durable exhaust and works well with the Blast.

Thanks! I'll look into that. Any idea where I can get a good price on one?

lol. It's a little more than I want to spend. I may just grab the V&H. Thank you for the advice. DO you happen to know if it would require me to buy any additional parts to install it? or will it come with everything I need? Just want to be sure I get everything I need before I pull it apart to put the new exhaust on.

Thank you. Much appreciated. I don't know if I can re-jet on my own cuz I'm not much of a mechanic, so I'll probably need to get some assistance with that.

Any hd shop can do it, supply the jets and their life is easy, since there are no questions - hr labor - maybe an intake gasket or not - depends on condition - cheap if needed. Easy gig if you take your time 3hrs most.

So, I've been researching the Vance & Hines 16535? system and I get varying results. The V&H Website says it only fits 2000-2003 Buell Blast, so should I be looking for a different exhaust? I just don't want to buy one of these and find out it doesn't fit my bike.

Naw - it fits, those are the only bikes they test fitted. Bikes basically same through years, except 2000.

If it fits one year it will fit all years.

Thanks Much. Looks like prices have gone way up. The V&H I can pick up for about $250, but the Jardine and D&D will cost me over $300, and most will charge shipping on top of that. I like the D&D because I can pick it up in Black, but That's going to set me back a good $350. Don't know if I want to spend that much because I still have to pay for labor/parts to get the thing re-jet because I have no idea how to do that myself. My stock exhaust went from a crack (at that point just under the bike where it's flat but has a sort if cup shaped dip) to a full blown hole, a good 3 inches in size.. so, It's LOUD. Right now. My neighbors hate me at the moment. lol. So I have to replace it.

I guess the Jardine looks like the best option because you can get the quiet core for it. Prices are only going up.. But if anyone can make a good argument for Vance & Hines or D&D, I'd be open to hear what you have to say. I'm putting a temp fix on my stock pipe next weekend, some aluminum and muffler weld, but, It probably won't last long.

What do you want from the exhaust? They're all good, just different, but the Jardine is your best current bet for 'quiet', if that's important.

Honestly, I just need 'something' because I have a giant hole in the stock exhaust.. So I'd prefer a replacement for that because there was no real problem with it, but, I refuse to pay over $300 for the ugly stock exhaust. The Vance & Hines is by a long shot the most economical option, but, I've heard it's a lot louder than the Jardine with Quiet core. My neighbors are getting fairly upset because the giant hole in my exhaust makes my bike obnoxiously loud.. so I need to quiet it down, at least a little bit.

Well, the V&H is not that loud, especially when compared to an open exhaust. Do you live in an apartment complex?
Unless you're running an open pipe the Blast really isn't that loud and it's not that hard to keep it quiet even if you do have a loud exhaust.
Fwiw: if you're the kind of person that leaves their bike idling in the driveway, you're going to annoy your neighbors regardless of exhaust. In other words, attitude and consideration go a long way, whether you run an open header or not!

Has anybody tried installing a Jardine Quiet Core into a Vance & Hines? Jardine exhausts aren't readily available, but the Quiet Core and V&H are. I've seen the Quiet Cores in 2" and 2.5" sizes, but I haven't found any info on the V&H's exhaust pipe inner diameter.

My header broke clean through on my stock exhaust, so I was just curious.

I don't think it's possible. But you can seriously pack the V&H though and that will help quiet it down.
