Picked up the R today!! I’ve a rode a lot of new Bikes home over the years and this was one of the most enjoyable (another great one was in 85’ on a VF1000R). At 6’5” 270 lbs. the 70 or so miles home was much more comfortable than I anticipated, after a couple of stops to adjust the Shifter! Picked my favorite route home thru southern Missouri and found that all of my lines were totally different, this thing loves to dive for the Apex! It’s going to really improve my riding. I had been in hot pursuit of a pristine TL1000R, but I’m really glad I changed my mine and found the 1125R. Won’t be sleeping again tonight! Just an Awesome Machine!! Thanks to all for helping me make up my mind. |

Super cool man. Buells are meant for handling curves so they're a great machine for handling women as well. I kid...I kid... |

Don't baby this engine. Those rings need to seat! Change oil and filter often the first several hundred miles. Pull the sump screen too and clean every other change until you see nothing down there. |

Clutchreaper, my wife rides a XR1200 and she’s drooling over the R. Found myself in the garage this morning around 4:30, day dreaming of vacation days! |

Welcome! Another bigger guy here (6'8" 260). check out the cycle pirates 360 pegs, and my next upgrade is probably the saddleman tech seat from American Sport Bike. the TLR is a favorite of mine too - buddy has a sweet one w/ full M4 system on it! Sounds great but is sooo heavy compared to the 25R! Congrats and GL! |

Sl33py, i can't figure out how to get PM's on the site (not enough posts?) used to live north of you on Whidbey Island years ago, great riding area. Sitting here debating HMF or Barker with EBR ECM, i know the Barker's make more power, just not to keen on the visuals, (reminds me Flow Masters on Vettes) at various times i spend weeks in the Dyno developing new Engines maps, so i know what i "should" run, based on the data. Also don't really like the clearance between the HMF & the Swingarm. ECM for sure, but still mulling over the rather extensive Exhaust Test Data. What are you running? Raining here pretty hard for the next few Days, so i want to get an order in tomorrow. |

Welcome and congrats. PMs go to the e-mail addy you used to register here. I put black Uly pegs on my 08 R. Another popular option is the 1" drop Lightning pegs. I went with a Drummer and an EBR ECM. Zack |

Thanks Zack, Preferences & addy are correct. Don't have enough time riding it yet, but 1" drops may be the way to go. Only problem I noticed on the 1st ride is that I needed to roll the levers down about 1/2", just haven’t had the time to get back to it. How do you like the Drummer? I made the mistake of not correcting my last new bikes tune issues, due to warranty concerns (and a very erratic drive by wire problem) don’t have those concerns with this one, and don’t want to let it run lean for any longer than necessary, so the ECM & new Exhaust system are 1st on my list. |

Dennis, you went with 1" higher bars on the Stock Upper Triple Tree? I’ll have to check into that, I’ll know more tomorrow, planning on riding a few hundred mi., weather permitting. Only have 60 ~ mi. on it right now. |
