Micah, I can understand why you'd want a Uly. I still love the one I bought from you. |

Hey Slowride, good for you! It's more fun chasing you on a Uly than on a Gold Wing! Hope to see you at Buelltoberfest again some day! |

But.....but..........Mark I hope that DR is keeping you happy. On the other hand, I know where you are coming from. My Uly's new registration tag has been setting on my desk since mid March. I am thinking about sticking it on for a ride this Sunday. Micah, what you have got there is a truly experienced Uly. I hope the opportunity comes for me to once again chase it around the country. Probably the best long bike trip of my life so far was the 2010 homecoming.(it didn't hurt like '07) Riding up the U-P with some of the best Buellers to hit the road, then on a whim, Mark and I split early to spend a day going the wrong way. Nothing better than going North West to head South East for home! And then there were those cold but awesome Daytona trips, and so many more! That is the thing about change. It is inevitable, and one man's advancing makes his bag too full, so something must be let go. I guess that is what all of the pictures, and future camp fires are for. Here is to meeting up with Mark on an AX in the near future and to catching up to Micah on that fine ole Uly! |

I would not have a thing left of my paycheck if I worked at the pony |

@ Tootal - that is exactly why I bought another Buell. This one is my 7th. @ M2nc - I agree! 6ok miles and it runs like a banshee! I unloaded it from the truck this morning and rode it out to my farm. Round trip i logged about 250 miles. I made sure to fill it up this morning with NO Ethanol gas before I left out. The Uly performed flawlessly! I had never ridden one with the xb9 primary in it before. So... that's what all the fuss is about. I like it! @ Wolfridgerider - a couple of questions... 1. did you lower the front end by pushing up the forks in the triple trees? 2. what oil are you running in the primary 3. what oil are you running in the engine 4. did you put progressive springs in the forks? 5. does the low fuel light work? I never saw it come on today as I passed by the 130 mile tick on the trip meter. I remember my light coming on at like 120 ish on my two previous Uly's. |

1.Front end has not been lowered 2.Amsoil 3.Amsoil 4.Front end has the 07 springs that are progressive 5.Fuel light works to the best of my knowledge. Mount up the tourtank and run it til it comes on or you run out... that should answer the question fo sho |

Micah, I have ridden with that Uly many times. It did fuel mileage as mine does. I can often reach 180 miles before the light comes on. Hitting a good lick on the Interstates will have it on at about 140 + or - 5 depending on speed. I did my first 300 mile ride yesterday in over a year. It was part Interstate, mostly secondary twisties at a pretty fair pace. For 114 miles of cranking on the twisties it took exactly two gallons of gas, meaning it did 57 mpg. Hauling it home on the slab at 80 mph for the last 90 miles had it doing 48 mpg. Some of these 60,000 mile '06's are special! |
