I may have a problem with the ECM , not sure though. when i tried to start the bike, 1125R 2008, it would back fire, that happened a few times, when it finally started it would run rough and there was no throttle response, it would just idle but sounded rough. any ideas |

Loose battery terminals. Corrosion in the fuse/relay box. Check all ground for tightness. Are you killing engine with kill switch, then ignition switch? Leave kill switch in open position until ready to start engine again. |

Tight terminals no corrosion grounds good kill switch then switch left kill switch in open then started same result |

Soldered terminals coming loose off the back of the ignition switch? Something similar happened to me, though not exactly the same (idle only; no throttle response) and replacing the ignition switch cured it. Good luck. |

Does the ECM need reflash, can it loose its data |

I don't have the manual in front of me, but I remember a section on cleaning the spark plugs..something like doing a tps 3x but only opening the throttle up once instead of 3 full turns.. Get your manual out or someone can step in and tell you the proper procedure. |

If fouled plugs are suspected Roll on and hold throttle wide open Turn on ignition Wait 3 seconds Release throttle Turn off ignition |

Two-seasons, how does the kill switch position make a difference? No argument, just asking for info. |

I'm not speaking for two-seasons. On the 2008 models, the instrument cluster drains the battery, unless you turn the kill switch to off position or cluster has been changed out. In the manual states a rough or poor running bike can be caused by nearly discharged battery. Two seasons may be going somewhere else with his thoughts tho. |
