What is Borg/Warner (BERU) or Bosch Coil Number for 1125R? Thanks If you happen to know what other applications use the same coil, that would also help - |

Effin' fuel rail. I ended up taking a 3rd in that Solo 30 and a 1st in Heavyweight twins this weekend, plus knocking off some 6 seconds or so from my previous personal best. The battle with Mark on the penultimate lap was epic. Would have been good to have you on the track... |

The BIG ORANGE MACHINE was looking strong - glad you got a PR ye "wizard of whoa". Probably fuel rail failure, but hedging my bets by tracking down back-up coils. Fuel pump on the way, ECU in for Doctor's examination. I have to have it diagnosed and back on the line by Thursday night so I can go racin' again this weekend.

Way to go Jim! 6 seconds faster is HUGE! To what do you attribute the gain? |

The fact that after two years aboard the DSB 1125r*, he finally got to WOT, all because his balls finally dropped! That or the fact that Jeff from Utah came down and they had a Buell bro-mance going on!

> 6 seconds faster is HUGE! A few things: * Previously, my only experience on the track was an endurance session last year. * I've really got my bike dialed for me right now. * Michelin Power Cup slicks * I'm actually *racing* this year * An outrageously quick-turn throttle * My brass finally came in Most of is is me and the bike set up + tires, to be honest. A little write-up on my local board about the race weekend: http://www.ntsba.net/ntsba/cgi-bin/yabb2/YaBB.pl?num=1369046881 (Message edited by jdugger on May 20, 2013) |

> Jeff from Utah came down and they had a Buell bro-mance going on! You leave Jeff out of this -- he's my path to an endurance race at Miller! Plus, an all-around good dude that did your transponder duty in the T60! |

Jim, Awesome weekend! Congrats! Interesting you mention quick turn throttle. It's next on my list of mods. |

Seriously, though fellers: BERU 0 040 100 084: is there a Bosch equivalent and where would I find one quick? (I'll swing by the CanAm/KTM place tomorrow on the odd chance they got them). JD and the CMRA group were quite gracious and fun was had by all with the exception of my bike going fetal during Friday practice. Felt like someone stuck a sock in the intake every time I hit about 6000 rpm. |

no, no, no, no... let's talk shit and derail your thread! You might just take that coil into a Ducati dealer... If you need, I'll send you one from the B bike. Say the word. |

Stirz, Harley Dealer can't help? |

General - Local Harley-Ableson dealers WILL NOT order Buell parts, and not many H-D dealers anywhere stock them. The issue is (and I'm not sure about this, even with Jim's .pdf) that the 1125 coil appears to be the only application for this coil, so there aren't simple cross referenced sources. And I need it right away, so can't wait around a couple or infinite weeks for someone to order one and ship it. As I work the problem I'm having, it may turn out the coil(s) isn't the issue but I can't eliminate it as a possibility. Fleabay is an option, but you're never sure what you will get as far as pre-owned condition. |

Stirz, Ray Price HD in Raleigh has been supportive of my Buell. They have a Race Shop (mostly drags) so they understand the importance of getting a bike ready for an event. The number is 919-832-2261. They are open until 6p EST today and closed tomorrow. If they can't help try Greensboro HD @ 336-273-1101. They have also been supportive of Buell. If they don't have one in stock they may be able to drop ship one to you. |
