I bought some Ferodo Road sintered HH front brake pads from American Sport Bike and partially bedded them in today. They replaced the stock pads. I wanted to try something different as I was not totally happy with the modulation of the stock front pads. I am using them for street riding only. I used a scotchbrite pad to clean the prior brake pad material off the rotor prior to test riding. I noticed an improvement in modulation and control almost immediately with less of a "grabby" response to a light lever pull at slower street speeds which was my main goal. There seems to be plenty of braking power as well which should increase when they are fully bedded in. Mort |

I have been using Ferodo on my S1 since 97 and the CR got some fronts last summer. |

I've used the road's on the track as well. Acceptable, but not serious business. The track version didn't last a full day. |

So, the Ferodo HHs have less initial bite than stock? Definitely going to avoid them, then--I like pads that have a lot of bite when they first engage the rotor. |
