Ok so I got this off ebay thought it would be a thin plate but it is almost 3/8" thick solid brass and heavy so where to mount? I was thinking the center of my air cleaner

It's designed to replace your timing cover. Look down from the air cleaner. It's where the headpipes meet and says "Buell S1 Lightning". Factory covers are installed with rivets; most folks change to 10-24 screws for easy service. |

Yep i realize where it is supposed to be but I think with the weight I want to bolt it in place not screw think the vibs will result in lose of bling! |

i would just put it where it was meant to be, and tap the steel plate underneath and use bolts to secure it. |
