I have some spares if you're looking for the lollipop style. I believe I've got a short stalk and a couple long stalk (Blast style) for less elbow/more road view. |

Well, good question. I didn't know there were two different lengths. So, I really don't know which one I have then. |

I'll pull my parts box down when I get home from work, stock on an S1 should be the shorter version. I had a cracked stock mirror too though, I need to toss it, anyway I can measure the mirrors I've got, then you can choose whichever you'd like. -Mike |

Okay, both have a vertical section that measures 2", the short mirror is 4" from bend to mirror; the long version is 5 3/8". This matches the mirrors I took off my XB, but they're also the same as the P3 mirrors. Either will look stock, they are all Buell branded mirrors. The long ones could probably clean up easily with polishing compound or a buffing wheel. I have several of each and you are welcome to them if you'd like to do the longer ones they are in good shape. I replaced them in favor of Aprilia Tuono type mirrors. I've also got the tapered nut to mount them if you need, they are removable.

Maybe something like $10 and shipping for both or $5 and shipping for one? |

I would need a short one. However, the bottoms on those you have pictured don't look like what I have. Are the XB mirrors different? |

They are a straight post that pushes down into a double nut who-haw. The upper (locking nut, tightens against the lower once post is adjusted to proper position) section is cone shape and the lower is a threaded shaft that just goes into the bar mount. Those are what the XB and Blast wear stock. My originals (tuber) are flat topped rather than cone shaped, and have a rubber boot over them, I have a couple of those too so whatever you need... if you have the left side mirror and the glass is broken you should be able to remove the mounting hardware and use it on other mirrors. |

The mirror I have is threaded and screws into the coupling. Hell, maybe it's not even original, which just occurred to me. |

Well, it is a 96, so I could be mistaken on where they were sourcing parts on the early bikes too. That's why I've offered both mirrors, so you can get as close to stock as possible if you are going with more of a restoration as you work on your bike. If you want it to match what you've already got on there I'm not any help to you it seems. -Mike |

I think I have the mirrors that you are talking about. Have a 96 S1 and just sheared off one of the sides trying to adjust it. I can't remember which side broke though? I'll look tonight. Mine threaded into a stainless coupling and were horrible to try and adjust and get tight! I ended up buying Aprila style ones off egay. |

I found out that the threaded part of the stock mirror is left-hand metric and it screws into a vibration damper with a locknut. The damper screws right-handed into the handlebar lever. Those XB stalks look completely different but should work if the whole assembly can screw onto the handlebar lever housing. I had to make some threaded adapters when I installed Napolean bar ends on top of the handlebars on my S1 as shown here. |

Sorry...I broke my left side and have a good right side. No luck here. |
