Ok so this started last yr! 1996 S1 with 2000 M2 swing arm and foot controls. When I did this swap I used the 2000 Nissin rear master cylinder but kept the brembo caliper. Then the brake would close the pads but not release i tried everything figured must be a mismatch so I got a 2000 era Nissin Caliper got it all hooked up and it does the same thing. So any ideas? Master cylinder rebuild? I am at a lose |

What line are you using? Brakelight switch? Could be a bad line or a bad pressure switch, not letting fluid bleed back to the reservoir...(since that's the only thing you haven't swapped) |

I am pretty sure it is the S1 hose i would need a picture to know as i have several floating around. Do you think the switch i have an extra of that! Could be time to upgrade to a stainless line! |

If it's a rubber line, it's entirely possible it isn't returning or bleeding off pressure. One old crimp/pinch/twist...and it could be kaput. Try another hose since you seem to have plenty around, see if the symptom changes. |
