Any idea of where I can find one or the seal(s) to rebuild mine? |

It's just got a little o-ring between the body and the valve, I'd bet NAPA could supply one. I've opened one up before, cleaned it out and reassembled with a very light smear of grease to make it operate smoothly. I've got an extra used one in my garage, I can open up and post some pics for you so you're sure of what you are getting into if you'de like. |

The o-ring is actually pretty unique. It is a box section with many sealing surfaces. Nearly unobtanium. I just took mine apart, turned it inside out and...voila, Allison well! |

Thank for the offer. Mine is leaking badly, so taking it apart doesn't bother me. I was hoping to hear that the inner parts were the same as a harley or something more obtainable. I may have to tap and thread an aluminum plate for female threads and drill the mounting holes to convert the whole thing over to something more obtainable. |

It is a box section with many sealing surfaces Ah yes the proverbial quad seal the manufactures seem to be able to come up with them but there never seems to be any parts. |

No cheap solutions but you can try http://www.twinmotorcycles.nl/webshop/artikel.asp? guid=YXHFSC&aid=3291&cid=96&s=&a=&aname=Buell_Fuel _tank_valve_S1_S3_M2_ Or replace it with a fueltap and adapter plate from pingel http://pingelonline.com/powerflo.htm |

American sells new NOS ones for around $30. Mine was leaking too, but mysteriously stopped. Weird. |

If you decide to replace the petcock, I have a few new, never used tuber petcocks. My somewhat ancient listing in the classified lowered the price to $25 shipped. Send me a PM if interested, 1313 |

Same as S1owner. Leaked this year after first fill after painting over winter but only a few drops for day 1 and 2 now all good. Could not reinstall the fuel filter inside the tank though.... Too fidly and i think threads damaged. Put glass in line filter in its place and seems to be working ok past couple weeks. |

Bike has been sitting since late summer and take was off for the last month. Just went out and tried it again after 3 days and-not leaking at all. I still am glad to have found a spare as I am not big on trusting parts that "healed" magically |

No magic it swells with the gas and seals its normal. The tank also shrinks and swells. I had my gas cap and ring off for 6 months could not even come close to reinstalling had to fill it 3/4 full of gas and let it sit in the sun it then expanded so i could install.
