So I have been searching since I bought my X1 for info on the xb wheel swap. I never really liked the info I was finding as they all seemed to have down sides such as reduced turning radius, lowered ride height, etc. I just found a post online saying that you could swap the lower portion of an xb fork tube with the lower x1 tube. This sounds like it would be a great option with no downsides.m I have not found anything else to confirm this. Does anyone know if this is doable? |

I have not seen anybody do this. I have only heard of people thinking of it because the tube od is the same. I'm pretty sure the valving and the lengths are incorrect and can not be done without modification to the tubes. Just my opinion and I'm sure someone else will chime in with a little more experience than me. |

I found an old thread somewhere and a member was saying that they had done the swap. Hopefully someone else might know more. |

I was thinking about it, and its not really possible. I pulled my XB and X1 forks apart and looked at them side by side... cant swap them. I have really no downsides to my XB swap.... the ONLY thing i lost was turning radius which makes it a little harder to turn around in the garage. To me that is no big deal. I didnt lose any ride height, this is only if you keep your X1 triples. (Message edited by purpony on April 29, 2013) (Message edited by purpony on April 29, 2013) |

keep searching, there's alot of tubers out there with XB wheels/forks/brake....even a few active members like pupony and serialK have it. |

haha, purpony posted up as i was typing my reply! and just to be clear, pupony isn't saying putting XB wheels forks brakes on your tuber isn't possible, just that mixing and matching X1 fork tubes with XB tubes isn't possible |

Understood. To me the downside of doing the swap with the triple from an xb is that I cannot do the machining... I knew the posting I had found was too good to be true, lol. |

If I do the swap it will be a down the road kinda deal where I slowly acquire parts. If I start do that I will let you know for sure and maybe we can work something out. so the reduction in turning radius isn't a big deal? |

I haven't been able to ride mine yet but I don't think it's going to be a issue. |
