Hey Bads1 when we talked at the show last weekend you had mentioned that you saw something about the colored tires on the net. I was just wondering what you heard? I'm thinking about getting a set of yellows for my xb. The only thing slowing me down; is at the show I looked at the tires and saw that they where marked as "re-tread" tires the best I can figure (which i could be wrong) there taking old worn out tires, cutting them down then re-applying fresh rubber and machining the tread. my concern is how safe are they? you know when you see Semi tire chunks from blowouts on the road (quite often) those are usually re-treads that came apart. I just don't want a front tire to blow at a buck-twenty if ya know what I mean. just wondering what ya heard? | ||

They are retreads. I dont care what any salesmen tries to tell me, they are usually full of shit anyways, but there is no way I will put retreads on my truck. I sure as hell wont have them on my bikes. Maybe some people are willing to risk their lives because some cheezy manufacturer claims they are safe...Im not willing to take that risk. Way too high of a price to pay. I will stick with whats tried & proven to be safe & works. | ||

Newguy they are retreads.My thoughts are there kinda cool but I need to see a test in one of the magazines like Cycle World or Sportrider then make the decision if I think they belong on my bike.I'd wait a little longer to find out. | ||
