My mirror broke off from the stem and looks like this. Nothing in the manual to help me take it apart and repair it. Do you how to fix this? I can't even see a way to dissemble it. XO. |

+1. They're not a "serviceable" assembly. You can try rigging something...or lots of glue...or just hit eBay and find a replacement. |

I used the infamous JB Weld on one. With some TLC in positioning it, fixturing it, and allowing it to cure, it held up great during normal use. It only broke during the NEXT incident. It CAN be done. |

I've been having good luck with the JB Weld "plastic putty epoxy" lately. Good stickiness, easy to work with, workable for a decent amount of time but hardens in a day or so. Easy to sand when done as well. |

This is actually encouraging me! Did anyone dissemble the mirror assembly at all - or just plug 'er full of JB Weld and let it set? XO. |

I haven't done a mirror yet but I've done lots of JB work in the past. Usually I'll scuff the surfaces and try to install a "pin" of some sort to help lock the pieces together and give the JB something to grip. From there I clean with brakleen to remove any grease, slather the JB, press and anchor the pieces together and allow the JB to cure. |

Thats what I do also. Reinforced with lots of steel, it can be pretty rediclously strong. I repaired a broken leg on an office chair that way (with a big old deck screw down the center) and it held for several years. The putty is easier to manage, it doesn't get runny. Don't know if it is strong. It is nice and sticky. |

You have to take the glass out of the mirror to get it apart if you could get it apart it would be a easy fix. I wish I could get mine apart then JB weld where yours broke I bet that would help a lot on vibration. |

You have to take the glass out to work on it. Getting the glass out isn't fun or easy. |

It is easy if you let it sit in boiling water for a minute or so. |

I found boiling water discoloured the plastic. After I got it all a part I found it was unrepairable. http://www.moto-science.com/product/ducati-style-b uell-1125-firebolt-led-mirrors-pair-1 Check those mirrors |
