So I am rebuilding my fuel pump on my X1. The previous owner has replaced the pump with a FORD pump. On the bottom it is stamped at 60 LPH and 310KPA. Now I know that the X1 needs 46-53PSI (317-365KPA) to be happy. The bike rode fine before the tear down. does the stock regulator spike up the fuel pressure? |

I've never known of a regulator that INCREASES pressure, only regulates it at a lower pressure. I'd say the Ford pump operates in the happy range for your X1, or the reduced fuel pressure from the Ford pump (if it actually IS less than the minimum required) isn't causing any issues noticeable by you or the previous owner. |

Do you know which Ford it's off? If you're having too much trouble with the injection & pump, get the Mikuni kit, you won't be disappointed. |
