Ok guys, you wussed out on Al this weekend and made him ride with the sportbike crowd. Ya bunch of meanies.  I leave for one weekend and everyone stays home? Well, I'M BACK !!! And I have my Sweet, hotrod S2 with me now. So let's do some riding...  Al and I are trying to plan a Sunday ride up Kitts peak on the 15th of February. the weather should be good. Let's get together and do this guys!!! M1combat, come on down. I've never been up this Kitts peak road but I've heard it is simply Buelltiful!!! If need be, you can spend the night on my living room floor. We can probably pursuade a few of the Phoenix guys to come down too. Brian, I'm ready, give me a call when you break loose, I'll check with Al, and see if he can get loose this afternoon. I'm stepping out to put a few miles on the S2. Bart-I went running around to a couple of meetings and now I'm heading home. Sorry I missed ya today. I'm riding in again tomorrow for sure. Call me on the cell or on the office line and I'll sneak out around 3ish again! I should be good for Sunday and yes I didn't ride this past weekend. Honey do's and hanging with the kids. (Sorry Al!) I gotta be a responsible daddy once in while otherwise the ole XB would gather some SERIOUS dust! | ||

Brian, Can't make it tomorrow, taking the trailer back up to Wyckedflesh in Phoenix, and I have another interview at 1300hrs there in town. I'm going to try to squeeze in a few errands while i'm up there, also. I probably won't get back into town until 1800hrs. Keep the honey-bunny happy so we can get out on Sunday, it looks like it'll be a nice day. Mike, I'll be in town around 1000 hrs, I'll call you when I hit the edge of town this time. If you want, I can meet you up around by the storage unit, then we can do an early lunch. I've got an interview at 1300 hrs.  | ||

last sunday i went though gates pass with a bunch of sport biker friends, Pretty nice ride. Im down for one this weekend, as long as its a sunday. Im getting my 2500 mile service done tomarrow and cant wait for another ride. ben | ||

Bart, I just walked in the door. Went to San Diego for the weekend to spend it with my kids. Just call me when you get into Phoenix and we will meet at the storage to unload the trailer. A Sunday ride might be cool for me since it will probably be the last one I do til the spring thaw since I have to leave for DE next week. | ||

I wish I could come out. I'm working on sunday. I'm a firefighter in the Marine Corps so I only get every other weekend off. I'll look to join you all in the future. I'm green  with envy though. There really is only one road with any curves out here in Yuma (S-24 out to the wash) and the same old ride gets old. Oh yea, Yuma's flat too  Charles | ||

Sunday is looking like the day boys! Where and when do you want to meet? I'm thinking a run through Gates Pass on the way to Kitt Peak is in order. Maybe breakfast somewhere on Speedway and I-10? The Waffle House on I-10 and Starr Pass is always good grease in the morning! What do ya think? | ||

Hey Charlie ! I haven't heard from you since the TorqueFest ! How ya doing? I take it you didn't get that X1 you were talking about? My S2 was stolen Thanksgiving.  but recovered. In the meantime, I purchased another S2, AND an S1W. I am now a Buell Whore. I thought I had told you about this site, glad to see ya here on the BadWeb, This is a great place to meet folks and get info on Buells! You'll have to come up ONE of these days... Oh yea, and bring the wife ! We wanna look too! Brian, Sounds good, we'll meet at the waffle house at 0900 hrs. Give us directions. I've never been up Kitts peak, so I'll have to bring a map. Brian, thanks for the link. I think we need to move the time back to about Noon, some folks have early morning activities. (church) Don't want to infringe upon that. Meeting place is fine. Went with Al today up to Phoenix and we had a Barnett clutch installed in his X1, I think he'll be hooking up much better now. His grin factor is getting higher.  Rueben, No problem bringing other riders, the more the merrier, just remember, we try to have a good time, If they want to get goofy, ie; burnouts, wheelies, riding dangerously fast, please have them separate from the pack first. With riders of different skill levels involved, we want this to be enjoyable for all. If we have more than 5 riders, we will go over hand signals and pack discipline before the ride. I hope I don't sound like I'm trying to rain on anyone's parade, but our group rides have been small, and it's easy to maintain communication between riders in small groups. the larger the group, the more important it is to communicate each others intentions and maintain distance. I understand the this road is very tight with lots of switchbacks. Sounds like a real good challenge, with some spectacular views. | ||

I have other plans for Sunday but really envy you guys. I have been up Kitt peak a couple of times. It is COLD and windy up there! They sell some awesome posters in the bookstore and I really recommend the tour of all the telescopes. | ||

Instead of the Waffle House, hows about Famous Sam's at Silverbell and Grant? If we are meeting at noon lunch sounds better than breakfast. What do you guys think? | ||

Hey Ben, Sounds good! Are you bringing some other riders also? More the merrier! I was talking to Bart today and he and I will be there by noon or a little earlier. My bike is fouling plugs so badly now that it wouldnt start today. Hopefully I'll have it corrected by Sunday. |
