Just wanted to make sure it was threaded regular before going crazy trying to losen it. Also what are thoughts on using an impact? |

Do your research. Impacts can cause undue stress on transmission parts. If the rotor nut was left hand thread it would spin itself off. |

Heat the nut to soften the loctite otherwise it'll be a rpita. No reason why you can't use an impact wrench to undo it.Won't need the locking tool either. But not suitable for putting it back on. |

Heating it worked out perfect no need for an impact either. Just sucks what I found behind it |

The balance gears ate them selves up and I'm not sure yet what all is involved getting them out. I have a 2008 1125r that has a 2010 motor in it because of warranty and that motor only has 4500 miles on it and the gears are shot. |
