Hey all, it's time for a new tire and I was thinking the Shinko Hookup would be good. Anyone use it? I mostly need it to hook off the line because I don't have enough power for spinning down the track |

If it's a dedicated drag bike then THE BEST hooking tire on the market is the MT MCR2..pricey..but that pays for the DOT stamp on a slick compound tire...all the hotstreet, prostreet class bikes use it if they are running a 17in wheel... |

I run the hook-up its the best working street tire I have run won multiple ahdra championships with this tire. Have run metzlers and mt in the past found the hook-up to work a lot better and cheaper too |

flash - I've seen lots of fellow sportsman Harley/buell racers run the hookup and really like it. I've not used it myself, but heard good things. Hell, im still using a 5 year old Metzler K2 Racetec, still hooks for me so I stay with it |

Shinko is great and good value. Power one is a brilliant tyre for a little more money. Mickey T will be gone in a weekend, yes it's the best "street"drag tyre also the lightest, but not the best value. Joe's run 9.1s on shinko and power one,I've gone 9.7 on shinko and get about 2/3 of a season out of it. 1.5sec 60's |

Much more sportsman racer friendly then ahdra was they seem to actually want the racers unlike Craig. Also was surprised they gave free test and tune Saturday before qualifying and also was scheduled for Sunday morning but rain forced them to cancel that. Only drawback is payout less in some classes more in others also only 25 bucks to race compared to the 60 it was at ahdra. Over all its good series to run you should give it a try. |
