I have a 2002 M2L with around 6500 miles on it that I picked up a few years ago. The rear caliper is frozen so I ordered a new one through HD. It comes already attached to the mount that the rear axle goes through, so I guess I have to change the mount as well. Since I am pulling the rear wheel, what else should I be looking for or what is likely to need replacing? The rotor looks fine so I think I'll keep that, and the tires still have life in them. I just want to be prepared with parts for the commonly replaced parts. Also, any tips to make the job go smoothly? Any tricks to bleeding the brakes? Any advice is welcome. Thanks. |

as long as you have the wheel off, check the wheel bearings |

There's some long posts about brake bleeding, where a great big syringe pushes the brake fluid up from the bleeder nipple, thus pushing all the air before it and out the reservoir. I think its called 'the Henryk method'. |

Okay, thanks. Anyone know why the caliper and the arm are both replaced? can I just remove the caliper from the mount and not have to pull the axle? |

You can just replace the caliper! On another not i need the two bolts that hold the caliper to the mount would you part with a pair? |
