The other day I was riding the twistys and fairy deep turns started to get a front end wobble more severe on left turns but there no matter which way. I have gone deeper into turns before and never had a problem. First thing when I got home was checked if the front tire was balanced it was near perfect on my manual balancer. Any ideas? |

Have your fork legs been leaking? Ever changed the 13-year-old fork oil? |

Fork oil is certainly a possibility. Since tire balance is correct ...
Tire pressure correct for both tires? Has the front tire developed a 'triangular' profile? Do the steering stem bearings need attention, and are they correctly preloaded?
Moving aft, check the front motor mount and the engine tie bars.
Swing arm bearings and rear shock OK? Condition of rear tire?
Finally, it may be time to replace the rear isolators. The calendar can be every bit the enemy of parts that use is.

The fork legs arnt leaking. I myslef have not in the 2 years ive had the bike. So ill try that. Back tire has about 1000 miles on it. front tire about 3500 miles on it. The front tire does have a slight trianglur pattern. As for the steering stem bearings and mounts Ill have to check. |

Sounds like you have a bit of debris clogging an oil passage in your forks. Check the bearings in the neck by all means, but also change that fork oil. |

Also check for a notch in the steering head bearings.
Lift the wheel clear of the deck and check for notchy feeling by rotating the bars side to side.
The notch shows up with the bars just slightly off dead straight, will have the tendency to self correct to center, if it's really bad, if not it'll require more feel than anything else to detect.
Have had this on bikes before and can lead to some wierd symptoms, weaving being one. |
