I bought my S2T with the bags missing, figured it would be years of searching and like looking for a needle in a haystack to find a set. Well, lucky me!! Anyway, now I need the bracket to mount it, looked in my parts catalog and came up with 90518-94Y. Did some googling and saw it supercede to L1020.8? Are these the same brackets? Or is the newer number for an S3? Totally confused here On that same note, since I figured I might never find bags for it, I picked up a '95 service manual, which of course has no information on anything pertaining to the bags. Would someone have an electronic copy of the 95-96 service manual, or be willing to scan any pertinent info from it that has to do with the bags? It would really help me out here, I am still in the beginning stages of learning about these fine bikes! |

90518-94Y is the correct original part number for the S2T bags. Most of the part numbers that are Buell specific have been superseded. Part numbers shared by Buell and HD like engine parts still use the original number. Hopefully a dealership employee will correct me if I'm wrong. It's been a few years since I worked at a dealer. To my knoledge there arn't any electric copys of '95'96 S2/S2T manuals. There is this great site created by Don Casto: http://www.doncasto.net/DonCastosS2ConventionalWis dom.html#S2%20Sidestands |

Thanks Buellish, Yeah, I've read Don's stuff, good info! Just want to make sure I get the right bracket, there's a little confusion as to whether this superceded part is actually S2 or S3. Anyone happen to know the bracket # for the S3? |

From what I remember, anything ending in a ".8" is an S2 part. |

Ratbuell, Good to know. The funny thing is one of the online dealers has both parts, the L1020.8 number comes up about 20 bux cheaper! Hence the confusion. Just want to order the correct part if it's available... |

I'm looking to get saddlebags on an S2. Called New Castle Harley and they say they can't get the stock S2 bracket (L1020.8) but for $435 you can get the "conversion bracket" L1025.8. (to fit S3 bags on an S2) I think I'd get some tube stock and get busy welding before I'd pay that. |

UPDATE: A couple of weeks ago I bought part number 90518-94Y from Latus H-D and they promptly shipped it to our God-forsaken island for 8 bucks. Great folks to deal with and got it all done for $139 including shipping. |

Thanks, Dog!! I've been thinking I'd be selfish and keep one that came with a bike I'll be selling in the spring. Couldn't get a person on the phone today, but with a couple bottles of lube I got over the $149 free shipping mark. |

Turns out they took my order and later came back with an "out of stock". Thought I'd hit the ebay listing but forgot about it. Looks like someone got a good deal on that one! |

If anyone needs a set of S2 brackets, to hang they're spare set of bags on the garage wall, I have a cracked set I modified into wall brackets. |
