We're having our first BRAG meeting next week. One of the topics will be a name. The only one suggested so far is, "Stone Mountain BRAGging rights" Is there a rule that the word BRAG has to be in the name? Any ideas for a name. My brain is kinda clouded ( pain killers ) and I can't seem to come up with one, although IMHO there's has to be a better one than that. Sorry Pete if that one is your idea. I like "The Stone Mountain Stepchildren" but I'm sure that wouldn't go over so well with those that be... |

Stone Bastard Stepchildren Storming and Burning Atlanta Street Fighter Club Thanks for all the great ideas! I'll take 'em all with me and see what happens. "Dixie" wouldn't go over too well. It's so crazy we've got three state flags. People amaze me sometimes... Ooopps...sorry, didn't mean to stray... edited by glitch on February 05, 2004 |

Great thread and really great names. Reminds me of going through this over a year ago with Brew City. Was a lot of fun and we ended up voting on it. The following are some considerations to help guide you: 1. Keep the name short or you will have a hard time coming up with a patch. 2. You cannot use "Buell" or "Brag" in your clubs name without paying the licensing fee. 3. You don't need to use either of the "B" words in your club name as the Brag logo is required on your patch. Ergo, Brew City became Brew City Brag on our patch without paying the licensing fee. 4. On your patch, the Brag logo must cover a minimum 25% of the total patch area and your patch must be approved by Brag before you have them made. FYI, Brew City thought they complied with the requirements and received Brag approval. Later Brag reversed their decision and made us destroy the remaining patches based on the 25% thing. I guess it just depends on who does the measuring and what they perceive as 25%. You can check this out in Brew Cities archives from last fall on the BWB if you want. The rejection after approval and manufacturing created a lot of upset members. Incidentally, there are Brag Clubs out there that do not have either of the "B" words on their patch. Thus the requirements are moot and you can get as creative as you want. I hope this helps. Just take your time working though the details and above all follow Brags guidelines in the manual if you intend to use the "B" words. |

What about "those nice motorcyclists from Stone Mountain" then everyone would think you're all civilised people from England. |

Thanks Nevco1! Personally I'll try and steer them away from using the "B" words. I am a true believer in keeping thing as simple as possible... |

Simple as possible: "Ride Club" Put an image of the mountain in the background. Screw the yo-yo retractable rules.

Mike, I like that. Too bad I'm not good enough with photoshop to take the logo and put 'em all on Buells...
