I need to lube my cables. When using cable lube the lube tool, can it be used on the brake cable and throttle cable as well as the clutch cable? |

Hopefully you have a brake hose, not a cable...brakes are hydraulic. Make sure you have the cables that need lube. The newer ones are teflon-coated housings, and do NOT get lube. If you have cables that need lube, then yes, you can use the same stuff on throttle, idle, and clutch cables. |

If you live where there is dust, sand or the like you would be better off without lube on cables because the grit will accumulate on them. Do lube the end lug pivot in the clutch lever often. If you happen to have the throttle side opened up, a dab of grease after some cleaning is good but I would not open it unless there was a problem. There's no problem with the throttle. I misread the service manual. I'll just lube the clutch cable as it sounds creaky. |

Again, make sure you don't have a teflon lined cable housing. They are designed to stay dry. |

Grease the hell out of the clutch barrel up in the lever. That creaking sound means you're going to have a popped cable in the near future if you don't. |
