Leroy Winters was Cory's great uncle. http://motorcyclemuseum.org/halloffame/detail.aspx ?RacerID=294 Also Robert Winters was a dirt tracker/road racer back in the day, winner of Daytona 250 class 1966, also great uncle. And of course his dad was AMA National Number 44 roadracer in the 80's. Cory certainly has motorcycle racing in his genes.  | ||

Hello to everyone that is on this thread and helping out with donations. I just wanted to thank everyone and let them know how much I appreciate everybody coming together and helping me for Daytona. I never expected the help to come from you guys but this is taking a huge chunk out of what will be a large tire bill at Daytona. I'm feeling confident about the weekend though and I'm very happy to represent everyone that has donated by rocking a BadWeatherBikers.com logo on the face shield of my Shoei! After being a crew chief for 10 years on a NASCAR team, I feel the pressure from the sponsors and know how tough it is to produce them. I just can't stand it when someone backs out and changes the game. I hope this will lift some of the mental burden off of you so you can focus on making you and the bike better. If you don't hit the ground running, it's tough to hit it at all. Good luck and I hope to you see you in New Jersey if you guys make it. I hope this becomes the "feel good" story at Daytona and by the way, we should be right at $2000 !! What? someone said it was I think $3500 for Daytona. That's only 10% of the cost. I'm a huge fan of Erik, and Cory. It gets a bit personal with Cory. I've met him at CMRA races at Hallett. Same with Danny too really. When it gets to be one of the local boys like West, or Eslick, or Westby, I'm a HUGE fan. I hated to see Danny leave EBR for that reason more than any. I get to see him at events at home in Tulsa, and... I get to ride track days at Hallett with these guys when they are home and able to. Edit: I left out Dustin Dominguez by accident. I was at Hallett last year when he was racing CMRA. I was in the pits with my friends Aaron, Chaun, and Jeff, and got to watch/meet Dustin. Also, Ty Howard was there as well.
