I have just replaced the rubber on the 10 bike and I thought it had a spacer on each side for the rubber seals. I must have the one on the brake side as the swing arm boss is alloy and bigger anyway. The axle goes in perfect, up to the bearing on the drive side and rubber seal, so the wheel is lined up ok. I think I may have lost is but I spent an hour looking for it with no luck. 7100 miles and all bearings are fine. As is the belt. We will see though as this is the time my belts went before but not fitted by me. (Message edited by Uly_man on February 15, 2013) |

I have an 09 with the 2010 wheel. There is only a spacer on brake side. On the belt side the axle goes up against the bearing. This is per design. Not sure what's worse, a missing part or looking for a part that you only think is missing. I've done both. :-) |

Thank you Guys. That is a big help. I have to work outside on gravel/ dirt and things do get lost but I find them but if you had seen me trying to find this spacer you would have killed yourself laughing. What a dummy? And ALL my fault. The other good news is that the new PR2s have transformed the bikes handling. New rubber is always better but these tires suit the bike VERY well. I had them on the 06 bike which is why I fitted them to the 10 bike. The Scorps are good but nothing like these for road work. A little adjustment to the suspension may be needed but then that is normal. (Message edited by Uly_man on February 16, 2013) |

Motorbike - Could you, if possible, post a pic of the front axle set up for me. Many thanks. |

Uly_man, My scanner is down right now but I will be happy to take a picture of that page in my 08 Service Manual when I get home from work. I think that's how I got the two pictures I sent earlier in this post. It was a while back when someone else was having issues so I just took a picture of the sheet that came with my 2010 wheel upgrade and posted it. Thanks. |

Uly_man, I picked up my new all-in-one printer and was actually able to figure out how to scan the page from my 08 Service Manual for you. As you can see, this manual does not list part numbers, description only. I'm not sure if your 2006 or 2010 wheel bearings are any different than my 08. I do know that my XT has different wheels than your X's but I think the bearings are the same anyway. I hope this is what you were looking for:

Thank you Motorbike. I just wanted to confirm that the bearing "axle shoulder" was present. |
