If you made it, very nice. What I would like is a two bolt support bracket as I feel the single bolt under too much load |

Yes i dumped my bike and messed up the stock shifter. So i copied it and made it better. I changed the fulcrum point on the linkage end , shortened it up a little to help shifting effort. Bronze bushing pressed in and a new steel shaft. If shifts like silk. The out side fillets are 3d milled. |

Lovely! As pretty as the piece you made is, if it were me, I'd get rid of that hex head bolt and use some kind of button screw or cap screw. |

Looks nice, x2 what reepichepp said, get you a Button Head Cap Screw, will look much nicer and cleaner. Your local Fastenal store can order you one in whatever thread/length you need as most stores probably wont have that length in stock -spencer- |

What I would like is a splined shift that just comes from the splined shift shaft as I run mine gp style like it better, & would be much more direct without all the linkages . |

What I want to do, is a folding shifter peg. Can't be that hard to make? |

Looks nice, well done, thanks for sharing! Reep & Rsm, I tried finding a button head or something of the sort for mine a few months back, though i didn't have the patience or presence of mind (seems like I was in a hurry at the time) to ask if they could order one, the HD dealer and the Bolt & Nut supply didn't have anything for it in stock. The upgrade (01+) shifter as a kit was about $125 last I recall. But it's been a while since I put that part on my bike. |

Gmaan, Why don't you make a run of parts and offer as a group buy ? Its just as easy to make 20 or 10 as it is 1. Just a thought. |

Wow, two and quarter, wonder if Harley doubled the price a couple years ago like they did the clear lensed incandescent XB turn signals (the '09 tripled in price). In my experience Al hasn't marked up Buell dealer type stock. |

Can some one make me a crude sketch of the boomerang shifter? I need a simple drawing on a piece of paper with dimensions. Scan it and post it. What I need: pivot hole diameter. Pivot shaft diameter. distance from pivot hole to top linkage hole. distance from pivot hole to bottom linkage hole. Offset values. Thanks |

I can send you a full set up of a stock boomerang shifter or I can send you a full set up of the stuff James Banke used to make. let me know if you want to borrow either. both are sitting on the work bench so I dont have to do any work to pull them off the bike. let me know if you want to borrow them for measurements and how soon... shoot me PM if I dont respond here quickly.... |
