B2M2, Please let me intrude on your knowledge for just a bit -- if you don't mind. After a recent nipple exploding ride and just feeling like I was in very deep need for just a bit more wind blast protection I ordered the GIVI A760 (and a set of Napoleons.) I love my Cyclone (which by the way is the best riding American v-twin that I straddle on a regular basis) and just want a bit more 'throw some of the wind over, and around, my big butt for those 70MPH+ blasts when necessary. Do I need any special instructions, guidelines, or gotchas prior to installation? I'm really looking forward to the added protection, especially when it's under 50 degree or so. If you would be so kind as to drop me a line with your enlightened experience it would be most appreciated. The transformation from 'true' naked to a bit of protection has to be a good thing and I'm very excited about receiving my new parts and getting them on the M2. Any, and all, advice will be greatly appreciated. Thank you. Greg |

BigDaddy, I think you going to find that the installation is a straightforward job (about one hammer on the handyman scale). The only thing I added was a small piece of high density foam with double back tape to the back of the screen where the front brake master cylinder came real close to touching. After the installation get tucked in behind you new wind screen, twist the throttle to the stop and see how quite and wind free a high speed run can be. Enjoy, Bill

Hey Bill, I appreciate your response. It must be part of getting older (or maybe getting smarter?) but I no longer get the same thrill out of a 70MPH wind blast at the sub 50 degree level -- I think I remember enjoying that at some point in the past. My next project will be the addition of some gauges. I saw a post a sometime in the past and the pics were just too sweet. Once again thank you! Greg |

Greg, Like you said we’re getting older and I just remembered a couple of things. First you’ll have to bend back or cut off a portion of the fly screen bracket to get the wind screen to fit (small price to pay for what you’re going to end up with). Second, make sure and lock-tite the lexan windscreen nuts that hold it to the fiberglass fairing body. Sooner or later everyone has them come lose, although Givi is good about sending you replacements. Bill |

Hey Bill, I appreciate all the advice. Now, if UPS would just get the right address and get me the Givi I would have it on. How did you mount your oil pressure and temp gauges? Do you have a pic? Greg |

Hey Bill, Got the A760 on with very few problems -- nothing my Dremel couldn't quickly solve Looks great, feels even better, and I'm very happy. Thanks for sharing the knowledge. Now I'm going to mount me some gauges in there to cover the dead space the new screen created. I will post some pics very soon. This was my first purchase from Arizona Motorsports and they've done very well by me. The GIVI arrived in 4 working days. I'm still waiting on my Napoleons, but the folks at AZ Motor are great to work with. I'm in no way affiliated with them. Later. Greg |

Jon Just followed you from sporttwin. Glad I did because I would never have seen what B2m2 did to his bike. B2m2 you are an inspiration. You really got me thinking about how the bike looks. I usually just think along the lines of improving performance. |

B2m2 Back in July you posted about some of your buds using the GIVI A755 on their Buells. You wouldn't happen to have any pictures you could post.

You can hide stuff behind the wind screen too.

Cowtown, these are AutoMeter gauges, their "Phantom" series of gauges (oil pressure and oil temp). Bill |

B2m2 You have the A750 right? You wouldn't happen to have any pictures of a Buell with the A755 would you. |

Sgtbuell, Your right it is a 750. I look around and don't have any pics of a 755. You might ping Roadrunner and see if he has a pic of his bike as he has a 755 installed on it. Bill |

Do I have a 755 or a 760? Memory's fading fast. Anyhoo I will try to get a pic out here by morning ( it is on an X1 though). Garage is a wreck & I need to move the bike around. |

Mick, I went through Airzona Motorsports (see link below) looks like their current pricing is around $135. Take a look around their web site. Enjoy, Bill http://store.azmusa.com/unwin.html |

Roadrunr Judging by the Givi site that is the A756. Thats the exact one I was thinking about putting on my bike. Now that I have seen it on your bike there is no more thinking about it. That screen is perfect. Not to big and not to small, just right. Thanks a lot for posting that pick. That is the next thing I am going to purchase period. |

All, I believe that the 750 is the best fit for all Buells (based on my very limited knowledge.) I put a 760 on a M2 and yes it will fit and it also looks great. The problem with the 760 is the two points of connection that it makes to the handlebars. That takes a bit more work, effort, and adjustment of controls to get it to line up. Having said that I'd still have a 760 on my M2 if I were a bit shorter, but at my size the 760 displaced, and then rerouted, the wind blast right to my head. The rest of my body was well covered, but at highway speeds it was like being behind a tractor-trailer all the time. A constant buffeting of the old head. I had to let it go. |

B2m2, Does it make a big difference while cruizing at highway speeds. I'm 5'9 and would like a little more protection for long rides would it bennefit me. Looks great and thanks for the link. |

Cyclonemick, There is a definite improvement over the stock fly screen. I’m 6’-1” and still get some wind blast at speeds over 70 mph hitting just above face shield level on my helmet. If I tilt my head down just a bit the air seems to flow over the helmet. This isn’t practical for hours on end, but then again I’m not riding my M2 across country either. The A750 seems to be a compromise between function, looks and the OEM fly screen. It’s not perfect but then again if we wanted a windshield that would block out everything you might encounter when riding, we’d buy Road Kings with windshields as big as a picture window in your house. Hope this helps, Bill

Roadrunr Maybe I've been staring at the pictures to long. But now I'm not sure if yours is the A755 and not the A756. |
