I ride all year round. Weather ha been in the single digits lately. I went to start my bike and find my throttle to be frozen and won't rotate. I didn't want to force it, so I left it alone. I'm not sure if the throttle grip is frozen or the throttle bodies or something in between. I'll pull the bike in and thaw it out tomorrow. Has anyone else run into this issue, or any other cold weather related problems? |

Lubrication. I used to ride bikes in cold weather back in the 70's or 80's but not anymore. Of course I did enjoy snowmobiles till not that long ago but gave that up also. The sleds had cables too and we would pull the cables out of the sheathes and clean well and use WD40 or JB80 or such but no grease. OH NeverSeez will also work fine as it repells water. Anyway it's most likely the cable. Good luck and let us know what you find. |
