Dana, No, won't be racing the Buell/Motard on the same weekend. I've done it before and it is a little tricky, as the shift patterns are backward from each other, the riding style is quite different, and I occasionally try to supermotard my Buell in the dirt and it doesn't work so well. I think riding both series helps tremendously though, as your always half out of control on the motard so your a lot calmer when the Buell gets out of shape, and the road racing re-enforces heavy front braking, which helps on the motard where you have a tendency to back them in. I have found the motard/road racing cross over has helped me get better and more creative in my crashing method. Helion, More than welcome to come over and check out any junk!!! Hey all....I'm interested in doing a track day this summer. Here are the potential dates: Aug. 10 or 11 at Road America Instruction by Sportbike Track Time $175 for 1 day $325 for both days Aug. 21 at Blackhawk Sept. 18 at Blackhawk Instruction by Learning Curves $150 for the day I'm leaning towards the Road America days because: a) it's Road America; b) it's closer to home; c) it's Road America  Any takers??? | ||

Everything looks like a go for the engine swap wednesday evening. Directions to the palatial Orloff residence: From hwy 50/I-94 intersection: - take 50 west 5 miles throught the 45/50 intersection. - make a left approximately 1 mile past the 45/50 intersection on 216th street ('T''s in from the left) - go approximately 1/2 mile south on 216th. 84th will 'T' in from the right. Make a right on 84th (its first street on right at the bottom of a hill) - Take 84th street about a mile through a nice chicane S turn. You will want to make a left on 234th street, which is the 2nd street on the left after the chicane. - 234th street winds through a neighborhood. Look for 86th pl which is the 2nd street on the left. - House is first on right off of 86th pl. Brown 2 story with a very snowy 1962 suburban in driveway. 23315 86th pl 414-331-7747 if you get lost Everyone is welcome for the first annual buell Daytona thrash and pizza party. I should be home around 5 tomorrow, and garage should be warm by 6pm. House isn't real child friendly, as there are lots of explosive fluids and sharp stuff everywhere... | ||
