I just installed the Barkers exhaust on my 1125CR with the matching EBR ECM. I love the sound, power, and looks. But, I think it is on the borderline of too loud for some of my neighbors for an early Sunday morning start up. I have the 1.5 inch quiet core on hand and have not tried it yet. Can anyone who has used it tell me if it quiets the pipe even just a little which would be great? Does it still sound good? Also, how much and at what rpm levels does it affect torque and horsepower positively or negatively? Does the bike still run as great with the EBR ECM Barker tune? Should I get a PCV to fine tune if I install the 1.5 inch quiet core? Thanks a bunch! Mort |

ya quiets it quite a bit I found no difference in performance well non that matters to me anyway. |

Yes, it quiets it down quite a bit! Sound stays the same, it is just less loud. I tried to make comparison video's, but you cannot hear any difference on video. I also compared different QC setups on the dyno. The bike also has an EBR ECM tuned for the Barker. Torque: Black = open Pink = 1.5" Purple = 1" Power: Dark green = open Pink = 1.5" Light green = 1" I have the 1.5" QC mounted permanently. I only remove it to show off occasionally... |

Thank you very much Youp and Brumbear!! Youp-Do you notice any difference in torque and quality of throttle response, etc on the road with the quiet core in? I am thinking of keeping the 1.5" quiet core and adding a PCV Powercommmander dyno tune to fine the afr's to the quiet core which should narrow the difference in performance shown on the dyno graph and customize the map to my particular bike and geographical area. Has anyone else had good results with the PCV? Thanks again, Mort |

Well, between 4 and 7k rpm it has a little less torque, yes. But when driving sensibly it is hardly noticeable. When driving like a lunatic, my CR still pulls the front wheel of the ground in 3rd gear at 6k rpm. Beyond 7k rpm there is no difference noticeable at all. I do not have a PCV, since fueling is quite OK with the 1.5" QC mounted. |

+1 when you go ludicrous it doesn't matter I really like the 1.5 the best . |

Mortbike - When I put my Barker on I took out the packing and ran it wide open. On my I-205 freeway test drive I got pulled over and was told it was a bit loud. In went the 1" quiet core with no packing. I noticed the difference most in downshifting, the throttle jumped so darn fast rpm matching was very fast and smooth. I ride the bike in the 4,000 to 7,000 rpm range, the 1" quiet core is just fine. (Message edited by dannybuell on January 20, 2013) |
