Kia Sorento and a Kendon trailer. It's a real nerd-box, but comfortable and does the job. |

> Ride it don't pull it. I was certainly of that opinion once. Now, none of my bikes are street legal, and frankly, wouldn't be fun to ride on the street, anyway. Two of the three I own have never been titled, and one has been out of registration for years and doesn't even have a wiring harness that would support lights! |

2001 Saab 9-3 with 160,000 miles, pulling either a harbor freight trailer (neighbor #1) or a nice heavy duty landcaping trailer (neighbor #2). It'll still pull 25 mpg at 65 MPH on the highway with three bikes on the smaller trailer. I've pulled a Wells Cargo enclosed trailer around town as well, but it seemed a bit much for longer trips. |

X1Brett, that's what I want. Yours looks nice and my next 4 wheel, road vehicle will be an El Camino that looks something like yours. I've been watching Craig's List for Phoenix. I don't look at the >$20K ones but for 5-6K you can get something that you can work with. It would beat driving my dually around town. |

My Camino has made for a lot of fun over the years. It's rusty but it has some character. It won't won't hold a load like a full-sized truck but it handles a motorcycle and gear without trouble and is easy to load and unload. 1973 and later models are very affordable. Duggram, I bet you have a nice selection in AZ that haven't rusted out. Good luck with the search. Or... trade a white dually for a white Camino? |

If you think it will pull my 16K+ trailer safely I'd seriously consider that trade. |

05 Buick (w/ 280k kms) towing a homemade flatbed 5'x 6'deck weighing in at 400lbs. two bikes and trailer = Buick's maximum towing capacity (and then a little bit more!) I like the minimal approach for me and am amazed (impressed) by the setups some of you have! <drool> |
