I just signed up and wanted my first post to be a little introduction... some of you may recognize me from the VTF board. I ride an '03 Night Train but hope to add a Buell to the stable one of these days... I have been out on a few and loved every minute of it. I'm much more of a fan of the minimalist/street-fighter bike scene than the chrome sled consortium, but to each his own. Anyhow, I hope to be able to contribute some of my knowledge here and hopefully pick some up along the way. -Joe

heathen scum, er excuse me Doctor scum, welcome aboard. everything you read here is absolute truth.. in some universe several dimensions removed. best greetings from homer alaska. my buell is snowed in, so instead of working on it (it aint broke) or dumping it on the ice, i just entertain myself here on badweb. are you looking to get a new XB, or are you considering the tuber models? |

Hey Doc... I have this itch.. It always kicks in as I walk past my XB9R, sometimes it's accompanied by cold sweats and moments of catatonic like staring into space.. Visions of twisty roads screaming for mercy and sounds of huge undeniable grins fill my mind.. Then I look out at the ice, snow and cold and get a sense of depression.. <very big sigh> Oh, sorry, just wanted to be the first one to ask for some free medical help.. I guess the simplest way to cure the problem is for winter to end and riding to begin... WELCOME TO THE BADWEB! (and remember, most good dealers are very reasonable when it comes to price/financing etc.. so check with some.. And you Buell will come!) hehehehehe.. oh and do keep us informed, it's not nice to keep fellow BadWebbers/Buellers in the dark, you may find folks you REALLY want to ride with. Later. |

I'm leaning towards an XB... got a lot going on now, "mad money" finances are a little low, baby on the way, etc... have to see how things go over the next few months. Anyone local in the bay area here? |

Probably the S... it's a little tougher looking, IMHO. Though, I'd need to immediately remove that big ol' hoobajube that the plate mounts to |

Drheathenscum.Bay Area is positively riddled with Buellers. You just missed our monthly ASbN meeting in San Leandro last night. And of course we have some great dealers here ,also.Vallejo is always supporting our meetings, and Modesto rocks.Where in B/A are you? |

better get that bike quick now, before your baby is born. and whatever ya do, do not ask the wife if it is a good idea. just give her a new XB12 lightning, and ask her if she wants you to break it in for her. because you know the tires are real slippery, etc. |

I'm in Oakland... well, sort of... Montclair Village area. Yeah, I had to promise her a child to get the Softy... hmmmm, perhaps for a second child, I could get a Buell out of the deal |

I got the S1 after the Second Child, after the Fourth Child I got a Convertible Saab 900SE. NO MORE CHILDREN - I hope that does not mean no more man toys |

Drheathenscum, not a better Bay Area commuter out there than a XB! 10,00 miles and 6 months of experience. Tried a S2 but the XB is the one! edited by kaese on February 04, 2004 |

Once you've got a Buell the Softy won't leave the garage, so trade it now & make your wife happy by grinning all the time! It worked for me, mines even letting me go play with Newfie & the gang! |
