It's that time of the year...had to winterize my Uly. Put 3 gallons of 93 octane in the tank. Since weather.com says it's 76 degrees out I took the Uly out for a short 31 mile ride. What a great way to start out the New Year. Any other Uly's make it out today? Happy 2013! |

Ran mine from Fayetteville NC to Northern VA for 300 miles. A bit chilly and slightly wet... but a great ride anyway! |

Nah, it's like 10 below 0 F wind chill here. Too darn cold for me plus there are ice patches and salt all over the roads.... Hoping it warms up in April.... (Message edited by motorbike on January 01, 2013) |

20 degrees, icy driveway, and a dead HID bulb waiting for a warranty replacement Hopefully I can finish scraping the driveway soon. Bulb is here, just need time to install (but no sense installing, if the driveway is still a skating rink...). |

Going out today to play in traffic. I'm feeling fired up about it. I get paid to ride today and for the next couple of weeks according to my current schedule. ..........What weather? Lock in the hubs, keep the shiny side up! |

Put 70 miles on the Yamaha, Apex that is!
If you look close, you can see our sleds parked in the Marina Parking lot. |

Too much ice on roads here in Nebraska and I value both my skull, body and bike to chance it until the roads are better. Back in high school and college I rode year round but I didn't have much choice either. |

Rode mine into work today and a few times last week. About 30 miles each way from Oakland to San Jose. At 6:45am it was around 38deg F... never thought I'd ride with the heated grips on HIGH, but there I go. Ahhhh for the right side heat... Those grips are great and with the TourTech extensions on the handguards, my hands don't get very cold. My thumbs do, but I vary the grip to get the thumbs on the hot stuff. My HJC helmet lets in too much draft, but that will be solved this week when my Shoei Neotec Borealis arrives. We put up with a lot (and I mean A LOT) of crap in California, but the 12 month riding season sure is nice. |

3 Jan, rode up Palomar Mountain north of San Diego. Around 65 degrees and comfortable starting out on the coast near Oceanside, and ending with snow and ice above 5000 feet on the mountain. Still an awesome ride, with a little icy excitement thrown in for good measure.

And, Mhevezi - Concur. I try not to pay attention to the politics and/or budgetary woes in the state. That stuff notwithstanding, I freaking love it out here. |

After a couple of chilly weeks with snow and salt laden roads it's supposed to hit 60 on Saturday. I think both bikes will get their oils stirred up! I need to break a friends bike in then too. Just did a top end job on a 1974, Suzuki GT 185, two cylinder, two stroke! He had given the bike to another friend to put a battery and tach cable in it. He did that and then rode it to the gas station to fill it up. Well, it had sat so long the slow speed jets clogged up and he was running so lean he put identical holes in both pistons!! Sometimes good deeds truly are punished!! |

Well, I finally got out of the garage. Rode the 1125R on Sunday because there was still 50+ ft. of ice and she's easier to duck-walk. Took the Uly out yesterday since most of the ice was gone. Almost went down but didn't. In bed sick today.... Z |

50* or so here in CT today. I have about 600' of gravel driveway that the snow and ice finally melted off of. Was able to get the Uly out for a couple of hours. It was nice to get out, riding here in January is usually not something that you can count on... |
