Visually I don't think there's a difference between 99 and 01. 98 was the last of the "S" headers...99 they changed to the "T" bend header...same as an '01. (along with the requisite frame changes to accommodate the header differences). Nice looking bike. |

Visually - no, not really. Componentry - most definitely. 2000 saw the Nission 9 pin front rotor, while the bike pictured has the older ('96-'99) six button front rotor. I always forget when the PM wheel design changed. Was it 2001 or 2000? Of course, both the wheels and front rotor could've been swapped out for parts from an earlier bike, so it could very well be a 2001 (with some older Buell parts)... 1313 |

Hey, sorry for the delay in response guys. I forgot these ads were a conversation! The bike is, upon further reflection, a 99. I owned an 01 S3T awhile back and confused the two when creating the ad from memory. Thanks for all the compliments btw. The bike is in Richmond, VA. The clock was removed as it was broken and I haven't looked for a replacement. I was thinking it would be a cool place to put an O2 sensor if you wanted to go back to stock injection with a megasquirt to self tune. That or a clock. Either way. |
