After 6 years it's time for a new one. Last time I went with OEM Harley, seemed to be a good deal at $85 and lasts 5+ years. What's the best value now? |

Let us all know what you purchase. I will need one in the next couple of months. When I worked for Case/New Holland, we used OEM batteries made by Exide. They were the most durable thing I had ever seen, worth a look if they even make bike batteries. |

Ended up going with an "East Penn" "Made in USA" from NAPA. Price was jacked up by about 15% over what www.napaonline quoted, apparently the dealer on Marco Island decided to add a little "Yankee surcharge". They've thus earned the low distinction of being my last choice supplier. The NAPA dealer in Naples has always done right by me, but they didn't have the battery in stock. With the massive transfusion of fresh electrons the ol' 'tuber fired right up, no problems, despite ten month's sleep. Just took a two mile test drive and filled up with gas. |

Just paid $130 for a battery at the local HD shop. I didn't have time to shop around. Last one I bought there was $85 only a few years ago. |

That's about what I expected for a battery with a Harley sticker on it at the Naples adult day care facility for aging bikers AKA Harley dealer. I like the Oddessy, but sounds like the local price for it would be at least $150. |

Check multiple H-D dealers. I got mine for $85. They are the same as sportster batteries I'm pretty sure. |

The local BP store gives me 30% off on most of my purchases because I make them thru work. I might have to wear my 'official' shirt up there to get a battery |
