Im Baaaaaack!
Hi all, good to be back and about. Great to know of so many Tucson Buellers, hope to be riding soon. Does anyone know of a good east-side shop to work on my 2000 S3? Hate Tucson HD/Buell and don't want to wait for ever. I have a charging problem, wont charge the battery.
Anyway, my wife and I will be at Famous Sams today for the Superbowl if any of you local guys want to meet up, I will buy you a beer and catch up with you.
I will be the only one wearing a Saints jersey I'm sure.
Later, Artful.....

AL,
the supertrapps sound even BETTER than the V&H pipes. I've got one I bought off FiremanJim, It's sweet. It is on the S2. Nice cheesburger you sent... ha ha ha

Wyckedflesh,
Check out Chandler Custom Cycles on Arizona Ave. in Chandler. (480-497-3573) They used to do ALL the work on my S2 when I lived up there. they have a great fabrication shop, and they treat Buellers like real people. Tell them Bart with the Blue S2 sent you.

Art,

Glad to see you baaaack!!! I'm going to swing by to meet you this afternoon at Famous Sam's.
Maybe if AL sees this before he leaves he might swing by on his way back into town from his ride.
Saints??? GO PANTHERS !!!!!

Wycked,
To get there, just stay on I-10 all the way through Tucson and almost out the other side. Get off on KOLB exit, turn left on KOLB, and go north about 5 miles to Golf Links. Turn right onto Golf Links and then immediatly turn left into the Strip mall there. Famous Sam's is in the back. Motorcycle parking at the front door. there's still time if you leave now... : ) If need be you can stay at my place tonight and ride back tomorrow. I'll email you my Phone #

Art,
glad to meet you and still 2 minutes left as I'm typing. I'm still holding out for the Panthers. Good meeting you and your wife. Hope to ride with ya before I move, there is still time.

Mike,

Art glad to have met your wife and daughter.

If I hadn't gotten stopped for 160 on the I-10 well that would have gotten me there about 20 mins sooner. Course I will be damned if I know how a stock motored XB12 could do 160. However I have the stunned look on the cops face when I handed him the keys and told him he was welcome to try was priceless : D Maybe it just the black bike...black leathers deal going on

Bart I left your place just after 8pm...and walked in the door here about 1030 so about 2 and a half hours with a half hour fuelstop to chat with a very cute countergirl...damn, I need to put the passenger pegs back on ; ) that might have made the ride back even longer : D

Managed to get in a great ride today up Mt Lemmon, and then out Spanish Trail. the temps were nice and the roads were barren. It sure is nice to go out riding on a weekday!

It was just like you warned me Bart! Had a rough day at work AND all I could do was stare out the window at another beautiful day! You know what the forecast is like for tomorrow...snow! Don't think you'll make it up Mt. Lemmon.

Wycked you wild man! I can't believe you came all the way down here Sunday. Too bad I couldn't come out and play!

Belookin and Artful..hope to hook up with you guys soon. Let's see what we get for weather this weekend. I should be able to get out for a spin.

Hey Brian,
Looking forward to going for a ride. Hopefully the weather will let us do that this week-end. Let me know. If it looks good for Sat. and Sun. let's go both days if you can get away. Maybe Artful will have his charging problem corrected by then. Bart will be out of town unfortunately.
I'll keep checking the posts and see what's happening.Maybe the 160mph wildman can make it down here?

Nah, I believe Wycked is heading back to Delaware this week. you guys are gonna be on your own.
AL,
try not to get Brian into any trouble now. he he he
the weatherguy (loser) does say we're in for a good dumping, this should be good. AND he says it will be nice this weekend, so I expect to read about some good riding going on from you guys.
ARTFUL,
in regards to your charging problem, quoting from the manual, check the regulator base and insure it is clean, and making a good ground. One test for regulator, using a VOM, unplug regulator, and measure resistance from each pin on connector to ground. Resistance should be high. the next regulator test requires a milliamp meter, (I have one) give me a yell when you have time and we can get together. These tests will eliminate the regulator as a potential problem, To check the Stator, unplug and check resistance from each pin to ground, resistance should be maximum, or infinity. If you read a short, double check the wiring, I know the S2's were known for shorting the wiring where it comes out of the primary, If the stator is good and the wiring bad, it is a simple solution to re-cover the wiring with shrink tubing. Once again, give me a yell if you want some help, I'll be in town until Thursday night.
BRIAN,
Don't let AL corrupt you too much, he's well on the way to becoming a Buell Whore himself if he's not careful. (I like that guy!) ANd don't bring anymore bad weather you weather magnet!!! LOL

If the weather does freak out and make the weatherman a liar. I'll still be available to ride until Thursday night. he he he I don't think it'll be cold. Trust me the weatherguy says.

Ride hard, ride free, and ride to LEAN!

Brian I am trying to get in all the riding I can before I hit the eastcoast. Home has about 4-6 inches of the whitestuff and it isn't nose candy : D

As of this afternoon my plans to head out this week may have hit a snag, damn I am getting tired of snags. Anyways right now I am not sure when I am heading out.

ha ha ha,
yea, how about that? Of course, I have no sense. I've been out running errands on the S1, like an idiot.

As my Dad used to say, "Your out there riding that damn Murdercycle in the rain again boy? You ain't got the sense god gave a rock!" Some things never change.
There's supposed to be another front coming in right after this one. Lot's of snow up in Flagstaff. Looks pretty, maybe I'll just have to break out the Snowboard!!! You know, if you can't beat 'em, join 'em! If I can't ride, maybe I can at least slide!

Anybody want to get together on Thursday night for a few cold ones and maybe something to eat at Chili's on Craycroft and broadway?

Its possible, though I may have to drive my truck and not ride. My leg was not real happy yesterday after riding through the cold. I looked like I was pimpin hard with the limp I was sporting. Ah well the fun of metal upgrades to the body...
