New RSD slant for sportys. Looks like i can probably get it to fit with out any huge mods! I think it would look killer on my xb.

Cool idea! You may have fitment issues between the rear cylinder head and the frame. Many of the sporty exhaust systems don't bend in a way to clear the XB frames.

Shiny ... I like the pipes too. It looks pretty good to me. I'll be doing the same with my headers next year. Have fun.

How is the muffler supported?
It can't be mounted to the frame since the engine moves on rubber.

I looked into the price today and my cost is still $650ish for this exhaust that i might fit with out much modding.

Dean i do like your exhaust what do you get for stainless head pipe with muffler? I want no polish and to see all of the welds along with it i kinda want it louder im talking force pipe loud!

And as far as mounting the rsd pipe im thinking the studs for the idler pulley would work just fine! Just need to make a bracket up.

With all the problems with exhausts cracking when not using spring-joined slip couplings (like Dean's above) the Sporty exhaust would end up giving you all sorts of problems. You'd have to have slip couplings added mid-way and then rig up a muffler mount to somehow attach to the engine. Without it, you'd be cracking pipes and exhaust studs.

Dean's looks well-thought-out.

The muffler does have slip fit to the head pipe its held on with springs. I figure i can use the studs for the idler pulley to mount it.
