yeah I saw that on my facebook feed.. The main issue with 88" builds as a daily rider is that people get too carried away with the build... ALWAYS keep in mind what you're going to be using the build for remember the old saying.. Cheap, fast, reliable ... pick any two.. (Message edited by stev0 on December 15, 2012) |

I beg to differ. Cheap and reliable never seem to go hand in hand. Cheap & fast, nope, not really. Fast cost money on the law of diminishing returns. Fast is good. Reliable, is good. Haven't found cheap yet. If you do find it, please send it my way. I could use it. |

I do 3 kinds of work at my shop. Good Fast and Cheap. If it's Good and cheap It won't be fast If it's good and fast it won't be cheap. If it's cheap and fast it won't be good. Kind of like the above. |

In running facilities for over 2 decades I have found that "good things, not cheap. Cheap things, not good." . While my Buells were a bargain to obtain, keeping them in good working order requires some expense. I guess I shouldn't complain too much since keeping a Ducati on the road is not a cheap proposition either |

Awesome article..Im just redoin an 84" Same thing less the flywheels.. I found the same scoring on the piston skirts and have from previous expierience know that after these piston/cyl combos get wailed on the cases tend to go outa round and need to be rebored to allow for skirt clearance..We just cleaned .005 out to get proper cyl to case clearances again..Hb |
