}Hey everybody...been registered here for about a year, maybe more, don't think I've posted anything...usually I come on for information - love the site! Anyway, I'd like to know if anyone has had a bike shipped RECENTLY. I looked in the archives for a while, saw motorcycleshippers.com, Forward Air, and a couple others...just looking for some CURRENT feedback cuz companies change, ya know? I bought another Buell in CA, and need to get it back to IL. HaulBikes appears to take a reallly long time. Anybody got an opinion? (yeah, I know, stupid question...)} | ||

I've got one in transit now. I used forward air. Their medium container is about $800. This is the second bike I've shipped with them. Good service. Friendly people. | ||

I bought my S1W March of 2011, they shipped through KeyBoard Carriage (270-737-5797) out of Elizbethtown, KY. Bike arrived in as crappy a condition as when I bought it, but they treated it like it was an Air loom piece. Very efficient service for about $600. I just had my ex-brother-in-law's 65 Panhead shipped to LA from western NY. It took a while but it and several boxes that came with it arrived last friday. I used Eagle One Express. Larry Beachler - you won't believe the rig he has! That's all he does is ship bikes. I have shipped 4 bikes over the last ten years, all have been cross country ( over 2500 miles) the most recent was July, Indiana to Washington state. All with allied van lines motorcycle division via my AMA membership discount. About 600 bucks. On time and no damage every time so far. | ||

interesting threat. i`m in the middle of buying 2 buells and shipping them to europe.trying to keep the costs as low as possible since taxes almost kill the deal. | ||

Thanks everyone for all the input. I've never liked the idea of people I don't know handling my bikes...they're never as careful as we are, right? Especially when it's a rare bike like the S2! Zombie-Keyboard isn't servicing the west coast right now according to their site. I sent an email. Leftcoastal-I sent Eagle One an email, they look ok. Hootowl-I looked at Forward, but I need it to be picked up at a residence so I think they're out. Vecchio-I will check out Allied also. Thanks again for the feedback...whoever I choose I'm sure I will still be holding my breath for 2 or 3 weeks until it arrives! Can't wait for my S2! I have 4 other tubers, but I have a feeling this one might be my favorite... | ||

And when I say storage, maybe a BRAN BadWeb member in CA can put it up for you. Worse case, HD shop or another storage shop in CA. Log in at the top of this page, then you will see the B.R.A.N. and then search under CA and the area the bike is in. | ||

I had my bike shipped to California to JTSperformance for dyno tuning. I used a company called freightcenter.com. NOW TO SAVE MONEY::::: Find a shipping hub as close to you as possible and drop the bike there. That will knock off 2-300 bucks just because you are doing some of the work. If the shipper can get the package at a shipping hub it will also speed up delivery time. Or have it delivered to a shipping hub as close to you as you can. I paid $360.00 to ship my X1. Lucky for me i have hub. | ||

I just had an S2 shipped in Canada.. Toronto to Winnipeg..Cost was good, only $301.00, but it got damaged..It was shipped on an open HD pallet , covered with plastic... Now the fight for insurance Damages.. In Canada DO NOT USE VITRAN transfer for shipping a bike!!!!! |
