you will have to recharge the shock so you might as well have it rebuilt.. |

Most common and cost effective rebuild seems to be thru RaceTech. |

Make doubly sure that the engine oil pump fittings did not come loose. I was completely convinced that my shock had blown. I had oil coming from exactly where you describe. What had actually happened was the brass engine oil fitting, directly above the front of the shock had come loose. |

+1 Greg! Thats what happened to me. Look at the oil pump fittings for sure, much simpler and less costly. |

or you could be like mine, and have the far more pain the ass option... leaking through the case halves. |

I had the case halves leak thing. I cleaned, tightend, and coated with a bit of JB Weld as a temp fix. At least until I can do a total rebuild with an 88" kit. I recently sent my shock to Race Tech. 1,500 miles on it now and it has worked great. Very happy with the transaction. |

Most likely it's blown. If there is more than 10k miles on it you can almost bet on it. Mine blows every 15k. |

I just got my shock back from race tech. I didn't have them do any thing special and it was like right at $200 by the time it was shipped to my door. Mine decided to start leaking as soon as it was removed from the bike. How convenient! |
