Author Message   Ramairz Posted on Monday, November 19, 2012 - 06:33 pm:        So I decided to go ahead and modify the airbox on Ember today. I started by cutting up the airbox, drilling some 1/2" holes in the remaining "hump" and bolting everything down. I had a feeling that these new bolts would hit the airbox cover and sure enough they did, so I grabbed the nearest piece of metal I had (old toolbox drawer cover form my Snapon box), cut the hump off and made a template on the metal to cover the new opening. Bolted the metal to the plastic ring remaining from the stock box that holds the filter and drilled new holes for the hold-down bolts. Cut the bolts to length (since they needed to be alot shorter now) and finished her up. New tune runs great, avg between 47-52mpg (alot of playing along the way), intake is LOUD.
