3 phase three wires, 1 phase two wires; hook the two wires up to any two of the places you would hook up the three wires. Leave one of the places blank on the after market unit I used. |

After my 2nd v/r failure I went this route,from jack at roadster cycle and cycle electrics,and it seems to have cured my electrical blues

The ce 605 sb regulator is a large unit 2 1/2 lbs of american made electronics,so I had to offset it from where the oem v/r goes

I am in the process of installing a new Shindengen VR on my '08.
I wonder what would be wrong with splicing in the existing VR power connector to the new power cables rather than running new all the way to the battery?
Also, since the 30A fuse has been sufficient all these years, I see no reason for the supplied breaker.
Thanks for any opinions and/or observations.

The 77 connector is problematic. I used a different connector and did not install the new fuse as you stated. I did use the existing wires rather then go new the whole way. 1000 miles so far with no issue. |

The idea is to eliminate that connector altogether... It is more robust to go straight to the battery, with an inline fuse. |

I decided to keep a connector there in case it ever had to be changed out again. But no big deal if you eliminate it and just have to cut and splice again in the future. |
