Just want to know if I can get my stator out without it or is it needed when loosening the rotor nut? |

the actual stator is attached to the housing, so you don't need the crankshaft locking tool nor do you need to remove the rotor nut |

If you are ordering from EBR, the upgrade is the oiling rotor so in that case if you are replacing the rotor then yes you will need the crankshaft locking tool. |
