Returned your PM LT and Winston, your good to go, for some reason I can't PM you. An update also on eta, he says he won't get them done until Tuesday or Wednesday so I should have them in my possession by Friday or Saturday. Michael(Buellish), you're in as well (Message edited by Blackm2 on October 07, 2012) |

Pardon this brief "Custodian moment" interrupting your thread.... In general, selling without being a sponsor is not allowed on this site, but there has been a tradition of home brew cost covering for group projects like this. That is fine, I've done it as well. So no problem yet. Just know that if you are trying to translate this into a for-profit commercial enterprise (even a small one) first ping Blake and see what expectations he has in return for the ability to transact your business through his (this) site. I did, and he was very reasonable. So again, nothing wrong so far, thanks for finding somebody willing to whip up a batch of them and doing all the hassle of collecting money and shipping (which really is a hassle). That tool always has been stupidly overpriced for something so straight forward to make. Also, just so everyone knows what risks they are taking, when you paypal a "gift", it is just that, a gift. Paypal won't refund your money if you then later change your mind. So you are sending a gift, and hoping you get a usable crank seal installer someday. And you probably will, David has been here since 2007 and seems to be an upstanding individual. But if you don't get your crank seal, no whining. If David's city is destroyed by a giant meteor or he gets bit by a zombie and you are out your money, well, that's why you called it a gift. On the other side, David is fronting costs and shipping out seals. Any flake could buy one, paypal, then tell paypal after they got it that David never sent it. Paypal gives buyers the benefit of the doubt, so David would have to decide if he wants to eat the $20 loss (or whatever), or spend $100 worth of his time to try and get the $20 back. "Real" business pad their profit margin to cover this risk, but David is doing this at cost. So it's not at all unreasonable for him to demand it be a gift if you want to get in on the group buy. He is already taking on a headach for you, why should he take on risk for you as well. I've done stuff like this a couple times, and you would not believe what kind of a headache it becomes, so thanks David for dealing with all the hassle to get a stack of these made for people in the forum. It would have been much easier to just make one for yourself and be done with it. Now back to your regular programming... |

Ok, 18 parts are made and we still have 6 payments outstanding. He also tacked on tax which he did not mention and I suppose I should have expected, but the total is 44.56 for the 18 pieces. I will divide that when it comes time to ship. If you don't know the payment instructions they are further back in this thread. If we don't have all 6 by morning I will PM each one individually tomorrow, I will be out for the rest of the evening. Here is the finished product:
There is only 17 in the pic but he made 18 (Message edited by blackm2 on October 10, 2012) |

Want to just give me a complete total shipped to 66092? I would imagine it would fit in a $5 flat rate deal. seems like it would be less headache to just get one paypal then 2 or 3 |

They are coming to me tomorrow. I will ship in a small priority box. Domestic shipping is 5.40 and the tax on each tool is 2.48. Total is 7.88. International guys I will let you know through email. James(Harleyelf) and Jason(Jwag12R), you guys owe me an extra 1.20 a piece. You need to send the money under the personal tab and as a gift. Or if you are paying with a credit card versus a debit card on Paypal YOU need to pay YOUR credit card fees, not me I need addresses PM'd to me for Don, Clive , Roderick, Joe, Eddie, Jeremy Hupp, Sean Strandeford, and Jason Wagner. Everyone elses I have. I will try to get them all out by Tuesday. |
